St. John's Church Add an Object
The church was built from 1845 to 1847 with the legacy left by Jelgava's mayor H. Kloks. Its Gothic-style tower was completed in 1882. The church houses Julius Dērings' altarpiece. Until the mid-20th century, there were the graves of John, Catholics, Literati, and Old Believers next to the church, which were later transformed into Alunāns Park and Station Square.
