Triumphal Arch Add an Object
The triumphal arch is a monumental, freestanding arch consisting of porticos. Triumphal arches are often built on major roads, bridges, and at the ends of streets. They are intended to honor victors or commemorate important events. Triumphal arches can be temporary or permanent, adorned with statues, reliefs, decorations, and commemorative inscriptions. In Latvia, the only triumphal arch is the Gate of Alexander in Viesturdārzs Park.
