Usma Elk Horn Nature Trail Add an Object

The Elk Horn Nature Trail was built in 2018 when the Ventspils municipality participated in the Interreg V-A Latvia-Lithuania program 2014-2020 project LLI-010 'Nature Tourism for All' or 'UniGreen'. The trail is 300 meters long and made of pine logs, designed in a curved shape, allowing the view to encompass both Lake Usma and Moricsala - one of the last little transformed territories where no economic activity has taken place for over 200 years. The trail is specially adapted for people with mobility impairments, seniors, and families with children. There is also an audio guide available in Latvian and English, which can be listened to by scanning the QR codes displayed on the information board. There is a visitor counter on the trail to help determine the number of visitors in the long term.
