Valdemāra Street Bridge Add an Object
At that time, it was the longest single-span reinforced concrete bridge arch in Latvia.
The author - civil engineer Ēriks Vikmanis, designed around 200 bridges in Latvia. In 1944, as the German forces retreated, the bridge was partially blown up.
In 1996, the bridge underwent major repairs and on October 17 it was reopened to traffic in its original appearance.
