Vanšu Bridge Add an Object
The Vanšu Bridge (previously known as the Gorky Bridge) is a cable-stayed bridge over the Daugava River in Riga. The bridge was opened on July 17, 1981 (according to other information, on July 21), and its length is 312 meters. In its category, it is the cable-stayed bridge with the longest span in the world, with a single pylon and cables arranged in a single plane. The bridge is the northernmost crossing of the Daugava River.
