Church of the Roman Catholic Parish of Varaklani Add an Object

The first wooden church in Varaklani appeared in 1675. As this church aged, Count J. Borhs built a new wooden church in 1740. However, it burned down in 1809. Count Mihaels von der Borhs had planned the construction of a large brick church based on architect V. Macotti's project. The foundations of the church were laid in 1783, simultaneously with the construction of the manor house, but further implementation of this project was postponed due to lack of funds.
