Ventspils Central Library Add an Object

The largest city library was founded on March 9, 1920 (reading room has been operating since September 23, 1919). Ventspils residents have access to a diverse collection of fiction and specialized literature, a range of periodicals, audiovisual materials, local history materials, free internet, electronic catalogs and databases, informative, cultural and lifelong learning events, as well as home service for residents with limited mobility who cannot visit the library. The library operates as a European Union and Northern Europe information point. The Regional Education Center (RMC) offers residents the opportunity to receive free consultations on working with computer technology and assistance in using the internet. The RMC provides special equipment for people with visual impairments.
