Zoo Add an Object

Riga National Zoo or Riga Zoo (RZD)- a zoo located in Riga, Mezaparks (1 Meza prospekts), Republic of Latvia. It occupies approximately 20 hectares of land and its collection consists of 430 species and 3000 animals (excluding insects and other invertebrates), of which more than 40 species are included in the IUCN Red List. In addition, Riga Zoo has an outdoor branch "Ciruli". Its main objectives are determined by the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums' strategy for nature conservation, and it participates in the conservation of biodiversity and carries out environmental education work.
