The Preiļi Robotics Championship will take place at Jānis Eglītis Preiļi State Gymnasium on 27 January
The Preiļi Robotics Championship will take place at Jānis Eglītis Preiļi State Gymnasium on 27 January. The aim of the competition is to promote robotics in Latgale and Latvia, highlight the role of the exact sciences in young people’s modern education, attract young people to robotics activities, and establish partnerships among institutions and clubs involved in robotics in Latgale and throughout Latvia.
The competition will feature several disciplines: sumo, line following, folkrace, Freestyle, and VEX. In each discipline, both Lego robot builders and builders of free-form (electronic) robots will be able to participate. Students, amateurs, and beginners will all take part in the competition. There will also be participants from Lithuania.
If anyone is interested but has no experience or robot, they can register for the VEX discipline. The organisers will provide everything necessary, including valuable prizes!
