Aivars Liepiņš’s Photo Exhibition “Concert”

Throughout February, the “Vējspāns” Gallery of the Kandava Culture Centre is hosting photographer AIVARS LIEPIŅŠ’S PHOTO EXHIBITION “CONCERT”, created in cooperation with the Nāc līdzās! Foundation.

Aivars Liepiņš is a photographer with 50 years of experience in photography. He has repeatedly been recognised as the best press photographer in Latvia. He was one of the 30 best photographers in Europe nominated for the Fox Talbot Award, named after the inventor of photography (1992). He has been the accredited and official photographer at numerous official events and official state visits. Alongside his work in the press, he creates personal photographic projects. His photographs are held in the collections of the Latvian National Museum of Art, the British Museum, the Latvian Museum of Photography, the Musée de l’Elysée in Lausanne, Switzerland, and many private collections. All the photographs in the CONCERT exhibition were taken in May 2024 at the Nāc līdzās! Integrative Arts Festival at the VEF Culture Palace.
