Learning English in Poland through the Development of a Digital Game Programme
The Eastern Latvia Creative Services Centre “Zeimuļs” invites
young people aged 18 and over to take part in the international training
project in Poland, “Game on: Gamified Language Learning On a Strictly Inclusive
Basis”, which will take place from 17 to 24 July this year in the city of Leszno. The main
aim of this training is to involve youth workers and youth leaders from eight countries in the development and creation of educational games and activities
aimed at improving foreign-language competences. During the training,
digital and analogue tools will be used in game development, with the aim of
enhancing young people’s opportunities and making a specific contribution to their
professional and personal development, as well as promoting young people’s understanding of combating
xenophobia and radicalisation.
The host organisation is “Fundacja Centrum Aktywności Twórczej”, which operates in the city of Leszno, Poland. It promotes non-formal education opportunities for young people and is actively involved in implementing local activities and disseminating European values within the local community, particularly by developing tolerance, openness and respect for human rights among young people.
Upon entering Poland, participants will be required to present a negative Covid-19 test taken no more than 48 hours before crossing the border. If the test has not been taken, participants will be placed in quarantine until the test is carried out and a negative result is presented; this can also be done in Poland. If participants have received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, they will not be required to observe quarantine.
Travel-related expenses, as well as accommodation and Covid-19 testing costs, will be covered by the project’s host organisation, “Fundacja Centrum Aktywności Twórczej”.
Applications must be submitted by 11 June this year by sending an application in free form to the email address zepa.dana@inbox.lv, describing your wish and motivation to become involved in and participate in the project.
