Where can waste collection be requested?

Requests for the collection of bulky waste and electrical and electronic equipment waste will be accepted from 11. April to 25. April by SIA “Clean R”, the single household waste management operator in the administrative territory of the Jūrmala state city.

Requests may be submitted:

by telephone at 67111001 (during working hours);

by writing to the email address kc@cleanr.lv;

via the self-service portal mans.cleanr.lv under “Requests”, by selecting the subsection “Promotions”.

When requesting waste collection, the agreement number for the management of unsorted household waste, the address, telephone number, as well as the amount and type of waste must be provided.

When will bulky waste be collected?

SIA “Clean R” will collect and remove the previously requested bulky waste and electrical and electronic equipment waste from 26 April to 12 May. Waste collection will be monitored by the Municipal Services and Improvement Division of the Property Administration in cooperation with the municipal police, whose task is to supervise the unauthorised placement of waste in the green areas of streets.

What types of waste will be collected?

Bulky waste is large-sized household waste that cannot be placed in a waste container, for example, a worn-out cupboard, bed, chair, mattress, other furniture, parts thereof, etc.

Electrical and electronic equipment includes refrigerators, washing machines and dishwashers, electric ovens and radiators, vacuum cleaners, hairdryers, irons, coffee makers, toasters, computers, monitors, printers, televisions, radios, drills, mobile phones and other equipment.

Last year’s leaves may be disposed of free of charge

In addition, this year, from 26. April to 12. May, residents will be able to dispose of collected tree leaves free of charge. Residents must deliver them themselves to the premises of SIA “Clean R”’s Jūrmala Customer Service Centre at 11 Fabrikas Street on working days from 8.30 to 17.00, or to the separate waste collection site operated by SIA “Clean R” at 61 Ventspils Highway on Mondays from 15.00 to 19.00, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8.00 to 12.00, and on Wednesdays and Fridays from 12.00 to 16.00.

If other types of waste need to be collected

If there is a need to remove other waste, such as construction waste, hazardous waste (tyres, asbestos cement sheets, oils), etc., please contact SIA “Clean R” by writing to the email address kc@cleanr.lv or calling 67111001, as this waste is managed differently and will not be collected free of charge during the Clean-Up Month campaign.
