Astro'n'out introduce a new single and announce an acoustic concert tour

Welcoming the spring season, the band "Astro'n'out" announces an acoustic concert tour in Riga and regional cities and releases a new, thought-provoking single, “Mūc”. It is an honest story about letting go of the old and meeting the new—escaping the noise around us, grounding ourselves and truly hearing our own voices.

“After a year and a half away from work, we met for the group’s first creative retreat, and we were all overcome by the familiar realization that we need music and making things together as much as we need bread and fresh air. This period, when we ‘sat in silence’, also resonates with the thematic direction of the new song, marking the resumption of our musical process. It feels as though we are on a new creative wave and are searching for a new ‘self’—each of us personally as well,” reveals Astro’n’out lead singer Māra Upmane-Holšteine.

Alongside the release of the new single, the band is also announcing an acoustic concert tour of the same name, “Mūc”, which will visit six Latvian cities at the end of this year: Valmiera on 17 October, Liepāja on 2 November, Jelgava on 10 November, Kuldīga on 14 November, Rēzekne on 29 November, and Riga on 5 and 6 December. The latter two concerts, marking the end of the tour, will take place at Splendid Palace cinema.

The upcoming concert tour is planned as an intimate encounter with the band, without the familiar show and party that brought the house down at the grand concert in Arena Riga at the end of 2023. Accordingly, Astro'n'out’s performances in each city will feature subdued lighting, minimalist decorations and, at the heart of it all, personal conversations. The concerts will include both the band’s latest singles and widely loved songs, presented to listeners in acoustic versions and given a new, previously unheard sound.

With the impact on the environment in mind, the concert tour will be carried out with a focus on the most sustainable technical solutions possible. Its preparation process will also be documented in order to inspire the band’s listeners, through a mini-series, to make increasingly responsible choices in their everyday lives. The sustainable concert tour is inspired by the “ReGen Paaudze” initiative, created by Astro’n’out together with the Latvian companies AJ Power and ZAAO. The song “Mūc” was created with the support of LaIPA and AKKA/LAA scholarships. Informational support is provided by the DELFI portal, Star FM radio, “jauns OK” magazine and Narvesen.
