The Young and Talented Girls’ Group “Sus Dungo” to Perform at Bauska Castle Museum

On 9 September 2017 at 7:00 p.m., six young women filled with youth, genuine freedom and improvisation will perform at Bauska Castle Museum. They have received several positive reviews from Latvian music critics and warm support from listeners.
Weather permitting, a romantic open-air concert is planned in part of the Bauska Castle ruins. Visitors are invited to bring a blanket or rug to sit on. In case of bad weather, the concert will take place in the Ceremonial Hall of Bauska Castle.
The girls will take listeners on a musical journey featuring songs from both their first album, "Rasā Pēdas", and their second album, "Down The River"/Down the River, as well as entirely new compositions.
The members play a wide range of instruments – acoustic and electric guitar, banjo, drums, percussion, bass guitar, ukulele, flute, xylophone (metallophone) and accordion.
The name "Sus Dungo" is formed from the surname "Sus" of group member Diana, while “Dungo”, in the view of group member Diana Sus, is one of the beautiful ways of expressing music – by humming: "I have always been moved by this way of expressing sound, which passes through the entire body. Such sounds can be heard underwater, and humming is one of the signs that a person is happy and able to feel free."
The girls met by chance, wishing to share their musical feelings, which means six different sensations woven into a single whole.

On 7 June 2012, “Sus Dungo” released its first studio recording, the mini-album "Rasā pēdas", and on 7 April 2015 released its second album, „Down The River”/Down the River.
Before the concert, visitors will have the opportunity to purchase and taste homemade wines made by Ieva Dūmiņa.
