Starting on 3 April, two volunteers will work at Ventspils Library – Anita Ciance from Italy and Kaja Mamotiuka from Poland. The young women will work at Ventspils Library for 10 months.

In 2018, the association “Ventspils Youth Council” and Ventspils Library launched a three-year partnership project, “Youth Gets Involved”, which is funded with support from the European Commission’s “European Solidarity Corps” programme and administered in Latvia by the Agency for International Programs for Youth.
The volunteers, Anita and Kaja, will offer and organise various activities for city residents at the library, such as language classes and creative workshops. The volunteers will be based at the Main Library and the University Library, while interesting and engaging activities are also planned at the other library branches.
