Bill.me bill management website becomes available to every resident of Latvia
The Latvian-developed financial technology tool Bill.me became available to every resident of Latvia this autumn. As a unified bill management website, Bill.me has been offering customers the opportunity to pay their monthly bills in one place since 2017, while also providing a range of other convenient online services.
“When creating Bill.me, our vision was to bring together as many local service providers as possible. At the same time, we wanted to offer residents an innovative tool for managing their monthly bills, as we believe that modern technology should serve people by making everyday life more convenient. Initially, it was only possible to become a Bill.me user through an invitation from a specific service provider. Now the website is also available to every private individual throughout Latvia. Anyone can register freely and arrange to receive their monthly bills in one place,” comments Jevgeņijs Loginovs, a member of the company’s management board.
Bill.me currently enables users to receive and pay the monthly bills of more than 180 service providers from various industries, municipal capital companies and other businesses. These include LMT, Bite, Elektrum, Tet, Valmiera Municipality and many others; moreover, the number of companies available on the website continues to grow. In cooperation with several service providers, Bill.me also offers meter reading submissions and direct communication with companies. For added convenience, customers can delegate their bills to a family member, tenant or another person, and a free mobile app is also available.
“Unlimited access to the website is a major step towards our primary goal – becoming an accessible tool for every resident, while continuing to increase the number of service providers available on it. Since Bill.me was created, our team has been continuously working to improve the technology and app design in order to provide customers with an outstanding user experience. We are convinced that a product created in Latvia can compete both in a highly advanced digital services market such as Estonia and elsewhere in Europe,” adds Jevgeņijs Loginovs.
More than 140,000 users in Latvia are already actively using the website, and Bill.me has exported its services since the very beginning. The company also has foreign branches, including in Cyprus and Estonia. The company’s plans for the near future include actively expanding its business in the Baltic market by offering unlimited access to residents of Estonia as well.
