Military transport will be moving along Vidzeme roads at the weekend

On Saturday and Sunday, 17 and 18 April, military transport will be moving along Vidzeme roads.

The military transport will be moving during daylight hours as part of the military exercises of the 2nd Vidzeme Brigade of the National Guard.

We ask for your understanding regarding any temporary disruptions to traffic that may arise in connection with the movement of military equipment along national roads.

The National Guard accepts Latvian citizens aged 18 to 55 who have no criminal record or charges for committing a crime. Several other restrictions apply to candidates; these can be found on the National Guard website in the “Admission Requirements” section or by calling the National Guard’s unified 24-hour telephone number, 1811.
