Multi-child families will be able to use car parks in Daugavpils free of charge

At an extraordinary meeting of the City Council on 22 April, the councillors adopted a decision to make amendments to the municipal regulations “On the Management and Use of Paid Car Parks of the Daugavpils City Municipality”.

The amendments provide that multi-child families, provided that one of the family members has declared their place of residence in the administrative territory of Daugavpils, will be entitled to use paid car parks in the city free of charge.

A multi-child  family must submit an application, a copy of the vehicle registration certificate, and a copy of the Latvian Honorary Family Certificate, the “3+ Family Card”, to the car park operator.  The car park operator will issue  the family with one permit, enabling the multi-child  family to use paid car parks within the city free of charge.

The amendments to the municipal regulations “On the Management and Use of Paid Car Parks of the Daugavpils City Municipality” will enter into force after approval has been received from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development.
