Centralised heating in apartment buildings can be discontinued earlier
SIA “Rīgas namu pārvaldnieks” (RNP) informs that residents of apartment buildings may decide to discontinue centralised heating earlier.
The authorised representative of the building, the association, or the community of apartment owners may, by polling the residents, decide that the heating supply should be discontinued. The decision may be submitted electronically by signing it with a secure electronic signature and sending it to rnparvaldnieks@rnparvaldnieks.lv. A paper copy of the decision may be left in the mailboxes at RNP Customer Service Centres or sent by post to RNP’s registered office at 42 Aleksandra Čaka Street, Riga, LV-1011.
During the changeable spring weather, when temperatures may exceed +10 degrees or more during the day but fall below 0 degrees at night, the automated heating system in an apartment building automatically adjusts the heat supply in accordance with fluctuations in the outdoor air temperature. This ensures that buildings are not overheated during the spring season and that thermal energy for heating is consumed only to the extent necessary, maintaining a comfortable temperature in the apartments.
Last year, RNP discontinued the centralised heating service from 5 to 7 May. If there is reason to suspect that the automated heating system is not functioning in accordance with fluctuations in the outdoor temperature, please report the problem by calling PS “Siltumserviss Rīga” on the free 24-hour telephone number 80000610 or RNP’s information line at 8900 on working days from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.
