Daugavpils Prepares for a Magical Christmas

The Christmas spirit is entering the city. Daugavpils is being dressed in festive decorations. On 28 November, the first candle will be lit in the large Advent wreath at the intersection of Riga and Fortress Streets.

There will be many new decorations, surprises will await visitors in the city's parks and squares, and the streets will also shine with Christmas lights. As usual, Unity Square will be especially beautiful. The Christmas tree will have new decorations, although the artists are not revealing everything just yet. On weekends, a mini zoo will be open, and the little houses will feature new displays. This year, the inhabitants of the gnome house can only be viewed from the outside.

Unfortunately, this year there will be no popular ice rink in Unity Square. But there will certainly be a truly fairytale-like atmosphere.

The large Christmas tree in Unity Square will be lit on 5 December.
