Daugavpils University to Participate in “Shadow Day”

Shadow Day is a popular career education initiative worldwide, during which students visit a workplace and observe the daily work of a representative of the profession that interests them for 4–6 hours. This year, Shadow Day will take place on 10 February. Daugavpils University has also registered to participate in Shadow Day.
The aim of the Shadow Day initiative is to familiarise students with the requirements of various professions and sectors, helping young people choose a profession and prepare appropriately for the labour market, as well as demonstrating the connection between education and a career and encouraging students to take their studies seriously. By fostering cooperation between schools, society, and the working environment, the initiative promotes the integration of young people into society and the labour market in the future.
