At its meeting on 15 June, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision to allow public events at which visitors participate while remaining in a passenger vehicle or a personal watercraft, such as a boat.
Such events may be held provided that the following essential conditions are observed:
- only one person or persons living in the same household may be in one car/boat at the same time,
- event tickets may be sold only remotely; when purchasing a ticket, the buyer must be informed of the rules and restrictions for attending the event,
- the maximum number of cars permitted at the event at any one time is determined according to the organisers’ ability to ensure monitoring of compliance with precautionary measures and supervision of visitor flows,
- visitors using other vehicles, including bicycles, scooters, mopeds, motorcycles, vehicles intended for the carriage of goods and passengers, as well as passenger vehicles with an open body, are not permitted to participate in a drive-in event. Pedestrians may not attend the event,
- during a drive-in event, visitors are prohibited from getting out of their cars and staying outside them, except when using sanitary facilities, if access to such facilities is provided at the event venue.
Before the drive-in event takes place, the organiser must coordinate it with the municipality in whose administrative territory the event venue is located, in accordance with the procedure established by the relevant municipality. In addition, the organiser must submit a plan of the venue indicating the arrangements for cars entering, leaving and being parked, as well as information on measures to monitor compliance with precautionary measures and on the availability of sanitary facilities in accordance with the number of visitors, their location and the organisation of people’s flow to them.
