“Enefit” Joins Latvia's Largest Electric Charging Station Network in the Mobilly App
With the rapidly growing demand for electric vehicle charging options, Mobilly has been offering payment at “Enefit” charging stations throughout Latvia in its mobile app since December 11th, alongside other major electric charging networks. Henceforth, Mobilly users will have access to the widest domestic station network, thereby making the daily charging of electric vehicles even more accessible.
Together with other frequently used payment services, Mobilly has been offering electric vehicle charging options to its clients since 2020 and actively continues to expand the electric charging network section. Currently, the mobile app offers already 1,148 charging stations not only in Latvia but also in other Baltic countries, significantly easing the journeys of electric car owners both near and far.
According to statistics compiled by CSDD, by October 2024, Latvia had 9,948 registered electric vehicles, an increase of 42% since the previous year. While in 2015, the number of registered electric vehicles in the country was barely two hundred, it has now grown by almost 50 times, indicating the increasing desire of residents to switch to more environmentally friendly means of transport. Therefore, the need for convenient and widely available charging solutions is becoming increasingly relevant.
“The electric charging payment function offered in the Mobilly app is the user-friendliest way to pay for charging transportation in one place both in Latvia and across the Baltics. It is widely available not only to our private customers but also corporate clients, who are increasingly deciding to switch to electric vehicles in companies. We are honored that, in addition to their payment solutions, “Enefit” has chosen the convenient and advantageous Mobilly payment platform. The joining of the second largest electricity trader in Latvia to our electric charging station network is a significant step towards a greener future,” commented Mobilly board chairman Valdis Bergs.
“We are pleased to begin cooperation with Mobilly, a strategically important partner for us, to further improve the electric vehicle charging experience, making it more convenient, faster, and accessible to all green transport owners. By including Enefit Volt charging stations in the Mobilly payment system, we are jointly strengthening the development of electric vehicle infrastructure in Latvia and encouraging public interest in sustainable transport,” added “Enefit” e-mobility department head Daniels Treņins.
Currently Mobilly mobile app allows payment for electric vehicle charging at 651 charging stations in Latvia, 288 in Lithuania, and 209 stations in Estonia, with 146 of them equipped with at least 150 kW power, ensuring maximum fast charging. Mobilly offers “Enefit”, “Eleport”, “e-mobi” CSDD network, Ignitis ON, Virši, Energolukss, Elektrum Drive, and other public and private partner-provided charging stations with the most extensive infrastructure in Latvia and the Baltics.
