PHOTO ORIENTEERING COMPETITION RESULTS

The IIC DINO association and participants in the “Developmental Games Club” project organised a photo orienteering competition in the city of Daugavpils on 24 September. The photo orienteering competition took place in teams. During the competition, participants searched for landmarks in the city of Daugavpils that are popular with local residents. The team members were resourceful and knew how to find the shortest route to reach their destination. During the competition, the teams not only searched for landmarks but also looked for answers to questions. The team members received points for finding the landmarks and answers—we congratulate the fastest and most knowledgeable participants!

There was fierce competition among the teams. A total of 13 teams took part, 7 of them from student self-governments. We thank the two teams from Daugavpils Vienības Primary School, as well as the teams from Daugavpils Science Secondary School, Daugavpils Draudzīgā Aicinājuma Secondary School, Daugavpils State Gymnasium, Daugavpils Iespēju Secondary School and the young people from Daugavpils Secondary School No. 11 for participating.

Third place went to the “Daugavpils Iespēju Secondary School” team, with 21.8 points.

Second place went to the “Daugavpils Science Secondary School” team, with 23.6 points.

First place went to the “Minimiški” team, with 24.9 points. The team completed the task the fastest, submitting its answers first, and also completed the task most accurately, observing the time limit and the number and angle of the people visible in the photograph.
