Families Invited to Take Part in the “ZZČ Family Cup”

Latvia’s and Europe’s largest festival for children and young people, the “ZZ Championship”, is launching its 15th season, whose aim this year will be to bring families together rather than classes, as has traditionally been the case. The organisers of the annual “ZZ Championship” invite schoolchildren to register a team together with their entire family and take part in exciting competitions for families throughout Latvia in the “ZZČ Family Cup”.

In the current restrictive circumstances, it is families in particular who need a little reminder that they are the best teams of all. Therefore, the “ZZ Championship” is offering the “Family Cup” game, featuring various challenges in which families can develop and test their team spirit. A main prize of two thousand euros for shared family adventures will also be raffled among all participants.

The “ZZ Championship” will offer all Latvian families—both large and small—the opportunity to take part free of charge in two stages of the “Family Cup”: a digital stage, which will take place throughout April, during which families will have the opportunity to test their abilities and knowledge in various quizzes and physical challenges; and the grand final, which will take place on 15 May, International Day of Families. During the final, families will have the opportunity to embark on a one-day adventure, practise orienteering, search for checkpoints and complete various creative tasks together. All families taking part in the game will also receive a special magazine containing expert advice and recommendations on how to get through this difficult period more successfully and how to build relationships when we spend so much time together in the same space every day. The magazine’s content was created in cooperation with the parents’ organisation Mammamuntetiem.lv and adolescent psychotherapist N. Saksa Konstantinova.
