Gundega Roze Launches Her Latest Book, “The Planet Woman”

Continuing her success in the field of writing, journalist and long-time editor of women’s magazines Gundega Roze published her fourth book this month, titled “The Planet Woman”, a guide for modern women on the journey of self-discovery. The new book is already available for purchase at the largest bookstores throughout Latvia, as well as on the website gundegaroze.lv. 

Gundega Roze has worked in journalism for more than twenty years, the last twelve of which have been devoted to publications for women. She has been the editor-in-chief of such women’s magazines as “Santa”, “Ieva”, "Cosmopolitan" and "Shape", and has also created special-interest publications on fashion, beauty and a healthy lifestyle. To date, Gundega has published several bestsellers in Latvia – “Diamonds in Your Yard”, "Diamonds in Your Yard: Book 2" and “Mothers Know Best” – and currently hosts the popular “YouTube” show “Mothers’ Conversations with Gundega Roze”.  

“The Planet Woman” is a collection of Gundega Roze’s reflections, accumulated over the years, on topics that resonate in the world of modern women – both in conversations among friends and in deeply personal insights that emerge in solitude with oneself. These are questions relevant to every woman: career, relationships, children, self-confidence, appearance and self-acceptance. In an accessible style, the author examines such aspects and challenges of modern women’s lives as Tinder dates and Botox injections, the reality of social media, as well as the many choices and decisions made in the search for fulfilment in life.

“For the past thirteen years, I have led several of Latvia’s leading women’s lifestyle magazines, and it has truly been a unique experience that has prompted me to reflect on the central issues affecting women’s lives. As a long-time editor, I have lived through thousands of life stories, explored the opinions of hundreds of experts and countless experiences, all of which, in one way or another, make one reflect on one’s own life and search for one’s own answers about what is what in women’s sometimes so contradictory worlds. I feel that the time has finally come to share the essences of my life with readers as I would with my best friend,” Gundega Roze says of her latest book.
