For exactly one month, from 6 February to 6 March, the Naujenes Cultural Centre in Daugavpils Municipality is hosting a photography exhibition by young artist Ivars Utināns, “From the Baltic Sea to the Tatra Mountains”. This is Ivars’ first photography exhibition, featuring landscapes of Latvia and Poland. The exhibition was created as a tribute to the centenary celebrations of Latvia and Poland. The photographs were first exhibited at the Daugavpils Polish Cultural Centre, but thanks to the interest of visitors, the exhibition continues to travel to various cultural institutions.

Ivars Utināns is known in Daugavpils and Latgale as one of the most talented young videographers. He has produced countless videos, including music videos for the bands “BezPVN”, “Dabasu Durovys”, “Piparmētra” and others. The young man often travels and has visited approximately 20 countries around the world, capturing them not only in video footage but also in photographs.

On Wednesday, 7 February, Ivars Utināns’ photography exhibition “From the Baltic Sea to the Tatra Mountains” opened at the Naujenes Cultural Centre. Although Ivars has considered photography his hobby for 10 years, this is his first exhibition.
