Opening of the Exhibition “Femininity”

The Rainis and Aspazija’s Cottage in Jūrmala, at Jānis Pliekšāns Street 5/7, invites you on March 27 at 6:00 PM to the opening of the painting exhibition “Femininity” by Grieta Bramane and Marija Timofejeva, where the poetry group “Post-Mystics” will perform.

The exhibition reveals facets of collective female memories and a vivid range of emotions about friendship and the search for identity, as well as growth, intimate moments, experiences, and vulnerability. All of this is through the feminine lens, creating a deeply personal yet universal reflection of experiences.

At the exhibition's opening event, the group “Post-Mystics” will perform a poetry act. This is an experimental poetry association that bases its creativity on ambiguity and the inexplicability of the world. Their manifesto states: “We stand for Simple Complexity and the Complexity of the Simple. We stand for ambiguity, for the inexplicability and incomprehensibility of the world. For what can be conveyed only by pointing to it, to it through words...”

The opening of the exhibition “Femininity” is an attempt to bring women closer together and strengthen the connection between them, promoting dialogue about their role in society and individual consciousness. The event will include talks with the artists, poetry, and a viewing of the exhibition.
