On Thursday, 7 November, the semi-final of the Rising Stars competition for Latvia’s emerging export stars, initiated by the export support movement The Red Jackets, will take place in Riga for the fourth time. The most promising young exporters of this year will be determined during the event. From among all the participants, the jury will select the 10 strongest finalists, who will be honoured at the awards ceremony of the Export Excellence Forum taking place in Valmiera at the end of November.

This autumn, The Red Jackets announced applications for the Rising Stars category for the fourth time. Any creative or technology company exporting its goods or services to consumers abroad could apply, provided it had not yet reached a turnover of EUR 1 million. From all the applications, the jury experts selected 20 semi-finalists, who will present their companies in person this week.

They include NTC Data, Agility Sports, Polylabs, OliRiki, MINT FURNITURE, Mappost, ALINA, Asya, Tom Adam, Babbit and Friends, RJMF EVENTS, Smartfoody, Azeron, Vuuven, Felici, Zekants, Solfegio, Solid Coffee, Tuta Media and RUBRIG. These companies offer products and services such as bespoke programming, robotic hockey training equipment, bio-based raw materials for the polyurethane industry, hi-fi music playback equipment, healthy snack alternatives and functional instant meals, rubber safety surfaces, video game controllers, educational series for children and other innovative business ideas.

The companies represented by the semi-finalists are successfully continuing to gain market positions both in Europe—in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Finland, Germany, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Austria, Italy, Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark, France, Belgium, Greece, Iceland, Poland and the Czech Republic—and in the United States, Canada, Russia, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Israel and elsewhere around the world.

The achievements of the emerging export stars will be observed and evaluated in person by a panel of professional jury experts
