New KFC restaurant opens at Origo shopping centre
On 18 November, a new KFC restaurant opened its doors to visitors in the very centre of Riga, becoming the popular food chain’s fourth branch in Latvia. It has been designed in accordance with the brand’s new concept and offers quality meals and a first-class customer service experience, adapting them to the brand’s global standards while observing the safety measures established in the country. The new KFC restaurant is located on the first floor of the Origo shopping centre, which was renovated this year, and is currently operating in contactless mode, offering customers the option of placing orders at the restaurant using self-service kiosks or through one of the food delivery platforms.
The new restaurant’s interior is designed in a modern, bright style with natural materials that create a cosy atmosphere and embody the characteristic values of a classic American diner associated with KFC. The 63-square-metre restaurant hall has 41 seats and KFC’s signature open kitchen, complemented by digital menus, self-service kiosks and free drink refill stations, making dining particularly convenient and contemporary. The restaurant team consists of 30 food-service professionals, while the menu includes all the favourite chicken dishes, snacks and desserts prepared according to traditional KFC recipes, offering a wide range of options to suit every taste.
“We see that KFC meals are becoming increasingly popular among the people of Latvia, and we are extremely pleased to open KFC’s fourth restaurant in Riga this month, designed and equipped to fully meet the wishes and expectations of our local visitors. We intend to work hard to provide the best possible customer experience by introducing various innovations alongside delicious KFC meals and high safety standards. It should also be noted that all newly opened restaurants are part of KFC’s ambitious development strategy for the Baltic market, which envisages expanding the chain to as many as 20 restaurants over the next two years,” comments Konstantin Maslov, a member of the board of Apollo Group in Latvia.
Since September this year, KFC restaurants have also opened at Domina Shopping and Alfa shopping centres, and the KFC franchise owner, the Estonian company Apollo Group, reveals that new KFC restaurants are also planned to open in other districts of the capital in the coming years, in locations that are convenient for all brand enthusiasts to reach in their daily lives. It is important to note that special Covid-19 precautionary measures are currently being observed in all KFC restaurants to protect the safety of employees and visitors and to ensure the highest hygiene standards, as well as a 100% contactless ordering and collection process.
