The Fifteenth Baltais Milk Carton Boat Regatta Took Place in Jelgava
On Saturday, 26 August, thrilling events took place in Jelgava, on the waters of the Lielupe, where families, groups of friends and teams from various companies took part in the year’s most entertaining event, the “15th Baltais Milk Carton Boat Regatta”, in self-built watercraft made from 43,000 one-litre milk cartons from AS “Tukuma Piens”.
Twenty-four teams presented their boats on the shore with prepared performances and later took part in two speed and parade races. After intense debate by the jury, the winners of the competition were announced during the awards ceremony at the Pasta Island open-air stage.
