Become a volunteer and help families #vieglipalidzet

The Rēzekne City Municipality invites volunteers to apply to help families with children who need material support.

Volunteers in the Rēzekne City Municipality will have the opportunity to help families with children by providing them with shoes, clothing, children's toys and other types of support. The Rēzekne City Municipality and the volunteer movement #vieglipalīdzēt invite families whose children have outgrown their clothes, shoes or toys and who are ready to pass them on to other families to get involved. These items can be delivered to the Rēzekne Social Service at 16A Zemnieku Street, where staff will deliver them to those in need of assistance.

The Rēzekne City Municipality is participating in the pilot project of the #vieglipalīdzēt volunteer movement, “#vieglipalīdzēt – sustainable local community solutions for mitigating the negative effects of the Covid-19 crisis”, which is conceived as a set of several activities, including public information, education and cooperation, providing practical volunteer support to residents and municipalities to mitigate the effects of the crisis caused by Covid-19.

The #vieglipalīdzēt volunteer assistance movement promotes the provision of voluntary assistance in communities across Latvia's municipalities. The initiative is financially supported by the Society Integration Foundation from Latvia's state budget funds allocated by the Ministry of Culture.
