As Latvia’s centenary approaches, the export support movement The Red Jackets has published the latest “Treasures of Latvia — Outstanding Export Brands and Inspiring Places” book, which contains stories about 30 of the most promising Latvian entrepreneurs—the recipients of the titles “The Red Jackets” and “Rising Stars.” The new book is the third and final publication in the book series, whose focus is on various beautiful and remarkable places in Latvia. Its text was written by the talented British journalist Mike Collier, who has skilfully created the stories in the style of a documentary diary, including the date of each conversation, the weather conditions, coordinates, and his own impressions.

Since the founding of The Red Jackets movement, three "Treasures of Latvia" books have already been published. Their aim is to create and compile inspiring stories about Latvia and our outstanding exporters, who have successfully proven themselves not only in Latvia but also beyond its borders. The latest book features stories about D8 Corporation, EKJU, ELKO Group, Krassky, Kreiss, Latraps, Latvijas piens, LG Optics, Nordtext, Peruza, Pharmidea, Printful, Skonto Prefab, Tenapors, TestDevLab, TROLL, Biznesa Augstskola Turība, TWINO, Latvijas Universitāte, X Infotech, Anatomy Next, Art Fairs Service, CakeHR, Edurio, Ette Tete, Mintos, Nordigen, One Wolf, PlayGeneering Systems and Sonarworks. Many of them can already boast international success, while others are only at the beginning of their journey. Yet they are all united by great perseverance, faith in themselves, and a clear vision of what lies at the heart of a successful Latvian brand.

The book features companies from a wide range of industries—from logistics, financial and human resources software, printing services, educational institutions, and food manufacturing to IT services, construction, furniture production, and fashion products. Over eight active months, from January to September, the book’s author, Mike Collier, visited all 30 outstanding exporters, creating each story in a Latvian city or populated place special to the respective company and supplementing it with picturesque landscape photographs. Thus, the book covers all of Latvia’s regions and captures such distinctive places as Āgenskalns, Snēpele, Ķīpsala, Lielvārde, Riga, Zvārtes iezis, Dikļi Palace, Alūksne, Lake Svente, Mārupe, Eleja, Jelgava, Līvāni, Riga International Airport, Jūrmala, Tērvete, Rideļi Forest, Ainaži, Zilaiskalns, Kvēpene’s Great Oak, Torņakalns, Mangaļsala, Riga Film Studio, Dobele, Ventspils, Smiltene, Cēsis, Pāvilosta, Morberga Residence, and Old Riga, each of which plays an important role in the creation of the success stories of Latvia’s outstanding companies.
