Māra Upmane-Holšteine publishes her first book - autobiography

This month, musician and lead singer of the band Astro'n'out, Māra Upmane-Holšteine, released her autobiographical book, 'Notes on the Edge of Doubt', which is her first work as an author. Starting from September 13th, it is available for purchase in major bookstores throughout Latvia, as well as on the website maraspiezimes.lv.  

'Notes on the Edge of Doubt' is a personal story about Māra's long journey in music, as well as the challenges and revelations experienced while pursuing her creative goals. The author emphasizes that it is not a book about the behind-the-scenes of the local show business or a manual for other creative professionals, as she believes that creativity is a highly individual process, and doubts are inevitable, which should be accepted as a natural part of an artist's everyday life without allowing them to hinder oneself.

'It has been over 20 years of performing on stage and writing song lyrics, but this is the first time writing has reached such a substantial work. Over the years, there have been moments of silence, conflicts, and situations where you realize that you can't control everything. This book is dedicated to the girl who had stopped believing somewhere along the way, who had to put music on pause, and who had to learn to love it again multiple times. It is a book that takes you through the rugged path of life and shows that all of it has meaning,' says Māra Upmane-Holšteine about her book.

Māra Upmane-Holšteine's autobiographical book 'Notes on the Edge of Doubt' is published by 'Astro Music' and is printed by 'Dardedze Holography'.
