Moment and Connection

The Janis Rozentals and Rudolfs Blaumanis Museum (Riga, Alberta Street 12-9) invites you to Diana Adamaites' exhibition 'Moment and Connection', which will take place from April 1 to June 4. In the exhibition, the artist discusses the interaction between collective and personal events.

Diana Adamaite explains the idea behind the exhibition: 'Each person's individual destiny is woven from an infinite chain of conditions and reasons; each person's choices create consequences that impact and change the mosaic of the world. Interaction is continuous, it happens every moment.' While painting, the artist contemplates: 'A moment - clear and unique. Continuous birth and death. What connects these moments to each other? What is the connecting element present in every moment?'

Diana Adamaite holds a master's degree from the Multivisual Painting Workshop at the Latvian Academy of Art. She studied at the Berlin Art University in Germany, the Lorraine School of Art in France, and the Zurich School of Art in Switzerland.

She has participated in exhibitions in Latvia and abroad since 2002. She has had solo exhibitions in Latvia, Austria, Germany, Estonia, and France.

She has received the Professor Indulis Zarins Prize in Painting from the Latvian Academy of Art, as well as the scholarship from the Latvian Academy of Art and Riga City Council and the main prize from the Liepaja Museum competition 'On the Way' for a bright and convincing conceptual painting solution.
