Mobile Cultural Space “Strops”

In the mobile cultural spaces “Strops”, similarly to a beehive in nature, information about one of the city’s neighbourhoods through the twists and turns of history is collected, compiled and presented. In addition, visitors to “Strops” can enjoy a diverse programme of events, including cultural and educational activities, poetry readings, concerts, performances, children’s events and more.

This year, “Strops” in Pļavnieki offers the following events: on 17 August at 19.00 a concert by Anta Eņģele and Marko Ojala; on 27. August at 12.00 Arnis and Laima Miltiņi invite families with children to a concert featuring conversations and songs with audience participation. The programme includes songs by Arnis Miltiņš and other composers, with lyrics by Inese Zandere, Andris Akmentiņš, Knuts Skujenieks and other poets.

To conclude the programme of events at the Summer Cultural Space “Strops” in Pļavnieki’s Bērzu birzs, we invite you on 31 August at 19.00 to a concert featuring the duo “Čipsis un Dulais”.

Information can be found on the website  www.mazagilde.lv and on the Facebook page of the “Strops” cultural space. Admission to the events is free.
