Mobilly continues to expand beyond Latvia, strengthening its position in the Baltics and Poland
Following the rapid growth of recent years and taking significant steps in its international development, the Latvia-founded information technology company Mobilly is actively expanding its operations beyond the domestic market this year as well. Since April this year, Mobilly customers have been able to pay for electric vehicle charging at Eleport stations in Poland via the mobile app, as well as pay for parking services in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
Mobilly currently offers convenient payment for electric vehicle charging services at more than 2,276 charging stations in various countries—1,223 in Latvia, 789 in Lithuania, 224 in Estonia, 31 in Poland, 8 in Croatia and one station in Slovenia. In total, these stations have more than 5,416 charging points, providing a widely accessible charging network for every Mobilly user.
“For electric vehicle charging, clear and reliable access is one of the most important aspects—which is precisely why the cooperation we have initiated with Mobilly beyond Latvia’s borders is critically important for the development of the industry. The ability to charge vehicles at Eleport stations in Poland demonstrates how a consistent cross-border charging experience can be provided. This step also reflects Eleport’s goal of ensuring the simplest possible access to charging across all our markets—in the Baltics, Central Europe and Eastern Europe—covering the region from Estonia all the way to Croatia,” comments Eleport CEO Kārlis Mendziņš.
Expansion in Poland, Lithuania and other European markets is an important step in Mobilly’s business development strategy, aimed at strengthening its position beyond Latvia and creating integrated mobility solutions on an increasingly broader scale. The company’s goal is to make the use of the most in-demand services as modern and simple as possible, ensuring that every driver can choose the payment method best suited to them regardless of national borders.
In Latvia, Mobilly has already become the first choice for hundreds of thousands of users. The app provides unified access to a range of everyday payments, including parking, self-service car washes, electric vehicle charging, public transport and train tickets, airport fast-track security screening services, museum visits and Jūrmala entry passes. This multifunctional mobile solution can also be successfully integrated outside Latvia, including in the Baltic states and elsewhere in Europe.
“Launching payment for EV charging in Poland and enabling payment for parking in Vilnius is the next stage in Mobilly’s development as we purposefully build an integrated ecosystem. Our growth to date and the investments attracted provide a solid foundation for our ambitions. While continuing to strengthen our leading position and enhance our range of services in Latvia, our future goal is to become a significant player on a broader European scale. We will continue to integrate new services so that Mobilly becomes a universal tool that makes everyday activities easier at any destination,” says Valdis Bergs, Chairman of the Board of Mobilly.
