The next "KULTŪRtāle" programme – 15 April.
Continuing to seek answers together with experts in the cultural sector
and to discuss culture and the creative industries in the development of a
contemporary city, the municipal institution "Kultūra" continues its online
programme series "KULTŪRtāle", broadcast every Thursday on "Facebook".
The sixth programme, on 15 April at 14:00, will feature a discussion on the
development of the cultural sector in Jelgava with Ē.Lingebērziņš, a board
member of the Association of Latvian Travel Agents and Operators, head of
"Balticvision Riga", head of the Tourism Research Centre and associate
professor, and Anna Builo-Hoļme, tourism development specialist at the Zemgale
Planning Region.
The institution "Kultūra" reports that, together with Ē.Lingebērziņš, the discussion will focus on the interaction between tourism and culture, while A.Builo-Hoļme will appear in the segment "Another Opinion". Anyone can ask the studio guests a question by writing it in the comments, as well as express their opinion on tourism in Jelgava HERE: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdTye17mBUPJDWdYolMI1VSAqlKpFnHN7-92MGgDuDKkbABFw/viewform . The views and attitudes of Jelgava residents on the topic will also be ascertained during the programme. Musical surprises from musician E.Kreilis are also expected.
It should be recalled that Jelgava, together with eight other Latvian cities, has embarked on the path towards European Capital of Culture status; therefore, this platform will highlight topics that encourage a broader view of the city’s development – exactly as the Capital of Culture project calls for. "KULTŪRtāle" consists of approximately 40–60-minute podcast-style programmes in video and audio format, with the aim of strengthening, improving and developing the formation and creation of cultural thought in the society around us. The programmes can be watched live on the municipal institution "Kultūra"’s "Facebook" page, and a recording will also be available after the programme ends.
The programme was recorded in accordance with the guidelines developed by the Ministry of Culture for ensuring the operation of live broadcasts and TV studios during the Covid-19 restrictions.
