This autumn, on 2 November, the annual Baltic Real Estate Leaders, or BREL, forum dedicated to the real estate industry will take place at the VEF Culture Palace. As usual, it will bring together leading industry experts, entrepreneurs and investors from Latvia and other Baltic and European countries in Riga. The aim of the forum is to discuss current market trends, forecast its future development, address solutions to existing challenges, as well as promote understanding of the smart attraction and use of foreign investment.

This year, the forum programme is divided into three thematically distinct sessions. The first content block will focus on the urban environment, attractive urban planning and the overall development of urban space, which has become a widely discussed topic in recent years. The second session will be devoted to investment, with local and foreign investors sharing their views on the real estate market in the Baltic region, as well as examining the latest trends in the investment sector and forecasts for the coming years. The topic of the forum’s third session will be future prospects, with a focus on modern technologies: it will examine the latest trends that will soon affect the real estate market in the context of office, retail and industrial space. The forum programme will also address such topical issues as the Internet of Things, e-commerce, consumer experience and destination delivery, or last mile delivery. Sessions will be interspersed with panel discussions and networking activities.

“This year, we are organising the BREL forum for the seventh consecutive year. During this time, we have accumulated experience and taken into account the suggestions and wishes of forum participants from previous years. This year, too, we will strive to surprise all participants with new ideas and a programme rich in content,” says Denis Kairāns, Head of Colliers International in Latvia.

The speakers included in the forum programme will comprise executives and analysts from Baltic real estate and investment companies, as well as several international experts. Those who have already confirmed their participation include Colliers International EMEA Research Director Damian Harrington (Damian Harrington), METRO-ECE Centermanagement Head of Leasing Zulfukar Tosun (Zulfukar Tosun), NEPI Rockcastle Investment Manager Gijs Klomp (Gijs Klomp), Technopolis CEO Keith Silverang (Keith Silverang), Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Corporate Governance Academy Aivaras Abromavicius, as well as other highly experienced industry professionals. This year, too, the role of forum moderator will be entrusted to Ģirts Rūda, Chief Adviser of RB Rail AS and Chief Coordinator of Rail Baltica.

More information about the BREL forum programme and speakers, as well as registration, is available on the website www.brelforum.com. Until 22 September, tickets can be purchased at a special price. The forum will be held in English and is organised by Colliers International in cooperation with iDEA HOUSE events.
