The Golden Pine Cone embodies simplicity, openness and the beauty of Latvia’s forests: simple in spirit, refined in form, open like the sun, warm like the blessing of home and resilient like a Latvian. There is no more precise description of a person’s love for the forest, just as there is no better award with which to reward a person’s work for Latvia’s forests.
