The Procurement Commission of the Rēzekne City Council decided on the open tender “Management and maintenance of Rēzekne city’s common-use areas”, awarding the contract to SIA “Clean R”.
As previously reported, three bidders participated in the tender, and SIA “Clean R” offered the most advantageous price—EUR 2,787,149.28. Consequently, the company that has been maintaining Rēzekne’s pavements since 2016—SIA “Clean R”—was selected.
However, the new contract will include stricter requirements. For example, a contractual penalty of EUR 500 will be imposed for each instance (or site) of substandard work or failure to meet the deadline. Moreover, if this contractual penalty is imposed at least three times, the Rēzekne City Council will have the right to terminate the contract unilaterally. Likewise, if it is established that an employee is working in breach of the terms of the contract, the council will have the right to request that the employee be replaced by another employee of no lesser qualifications.
