What Values Will Dagda Municipality Vote for in the European Elections?

This year, on 25 May, residents of Latvia’s municipalities and cities will have the opportunity to decide Europe’s future by taking part in the European Parliament elections. In these elections, everyone will vote for the values that matter most to them. What will Dagda Municipality vote for?

The European election movement šoreizesbalsošu.eu is inviting residents of Dagda Municipality to take part in an interesting activity – to write down the values (for example, human rights, a clean environment, growth, etc.) for which they will vote in this year’s European elections on 25 May. To do so, they should enter one or two words—their values—on the website ej.uz/soreizesbalsosu2019 .

As the 100-day countdown to the European elections begins, from 15 February it will be possible to view the results on the website ej.uz/soreizesbalsosu-Dagda: “Dagda Municipality says – this time I will vote for…”

We also invite residents to register themselves on the European election platform šoreizesbalsošu.eu, keep up with current European election developments and become active ambassadors.

“If everyone votes, everyone is a winner,” emphasises Marta Rībele, Head of the European Parliament Liaison Office in Latvia, reminding us that Latvia has been in the EU for 15 years and can actively use the opportunities it offers, including voting in the European elections. Decisions adopted by the European Parliament affect approximately 80% of Latvia’s laws.
