Local Video Game Enthusiasts Enjoy a Special PlayStation x Sonic Gaming Tournament

On the evening of Wednesday, 4 March, the Apollo Kino cinema lounge area hosted a tournament organised by the PlayStation video game brand and dedicated to the legendary Sonic Mania game. The event was attended by a large number of local video game enthusiasts, who spent nearly two active hours playing on PS4 consoles while also enjoying the atmosphere of an exciting house-style party, bringing the evening to a close with a screening of the new Sonic the Hedgehog adventure film.

The world-famous video game Sonic was first released under the banner of video game manufacturer SEGA back in 1991, and since then it has appeared in various versions and incarnations over the years, continuing to captivate young and old alike. The PlayStation brand has also released several games inspired by the Sonic character, the most popular of which is the colourful Sonic Mania. Guests at the PlayStation event could also see the game's exciting story for themselves, recalling their childhood days and trying their hand at other cult video games such as Tekken 7, Gran Turismo and Crash Team Racing during the evening, competing for the title of the most skilful champion.

During the lively tournament, guests also took their time enjoying delicious savoury snacks and refreshing drinks, provided by Apollo Kino and the widely popular fast-food restaurant KFC. At the end of the event, everyone was offered a screening of the newly released blockbuster Sonic the Hedgehog, starring the excellent actors Jim Carrey and James Marsden. From the very first minutes, the film captivated audiences with its vibrant graphics, entertaining story and high-quality production, holding viewers' attention right through to the very end.
