Take part in the “Most Diligent Acorn Collector 2022” competition and community drive!

From 3 to 29 October this year, the Kandava Culture and Sports Centre invites educational institutions in Tukums Municipality and other interested parties to take part in the “Most Diligent Acorn Collector 2022” acorn-collecting community drive and competition.

Competition participants collect fallen acorns and deliver them to the collection point — the Kandava Crafts Centre, 11 Talsu Street, on working days from 9:00 to 16:00 (by calling in advance). Do not collect round, or Canadian, acorns, as they are not suitable for making acorn coffee! If a collector has transport problems, they should inform the Competition organisers (contact person: Kitija  Švīgere).

Educational institutions in Tukums Municipality may take part in the acorn-collecting community drive and competition and be eligible to receive prizes. Other local government institutions, companies, organisations and private individuals may take part in the competition and receive a certificate of appreciation.
