Traditional MTB Cycling Competition to Take Place in Preiļi

The annual MTB cycling competition “Preiļupes Līkloči” will take place in Preiļi on 30 April this year, with Sport and People’s classes.
In previous years, many competition participants said that they would gladly compete in the Sport class, but were discouraged by the 37 km distance. Therefore, to encourage those who are hesitant, an additional group has been opened in the Sport class this year – the Cautious group (born in 1967–1996), whose participants will ride a 22 km distance but will not compete for titles in their respective age groups on the long course.
The open MTB cycling competition “Preiļupes Līkloči” of Preiļi Municipality is being held as part of the project “Spring Health Festival in Preiļi”, supported by Coca-Cola and the Latvian Olympic Committee.
