Today, 1 September, coinciding with the start of the new school year, the third restaurant in Latvia of the world-famous KFC fast-food chain was opened at Domina Shopping shopping centre. It has been designed in accordance with the chain’s new concept and promises to provide high-quality meals and a first-class customer service experience while adhering to the brand’s global standards. The owners of the KFC franchise, the Estonian company “Apollo Group”, plan to triple the number of restaurants in the capital within the next few years, further strengthening the brand’s position in the local market and making it conveniently accessible to residents throughout Riga.

The new KFC restaurant is located on the first floor of Domina Shopping shopping centre. Its interior features a modern, bright design embodying the characteristic values of a classic American diner. The spacious restaurant hall has 60 seats and KFC’s signature open kitchen, complemented by digital menus and self-service checkout terminals, making dining especially convenient and contemporary. The restaurant team consists of 15 food-service professionals trained in accordance with the company’s global standards. The menu includes all the most popular chicken dishes, snacks and desserts prepared according to traditional KFC recipes, offering a wide range of options to suit every taste.

“Domina shopping centre is undoubtedly one of the most popular shopping destinations among Riga residents, providing visitors with a convenient and modern environment, so the decision to open the newest KFC restaurant here seemed like the logical next step. Considering the brand’s rapid development in the Latvian market, which we have witnessed over the past year since the opening of the new-concept KFC restaurant at Akropole shopping centre, we believe that this is only the beginning of a path towards stable growth, and we will do everything possible to fully meet our customers’ expectations,” comments KFC board member Mauri Dorbek.

‘’We are truly delighted that the new-concept KFC restaurant is opening its doors to visitors right here at Domina. Our shopping centre is visited by several thousand customers every day, and for Domina this is an important step in its further development and in strengthening the rapidly growing restaurant and café segment. We warmly invite every Domina visitor to stop by the new KFC restaurant and enjoy delicious, internationally acclaimed street-food-style cuisine. And isn’t it wonderful that visitors can not only spend a pleasant time shopping in one location, but also devote more time to their loved ones while enjoying a tasty meal at one of the newest restaurants in the city?” comments Dina Bunce, director of Domina Shopping shopping centre.

A new KFC restaurant will open at Alfa shopping centre in mid-September, followed shortly afterwards, in October, by another at Origo shopping centre. The latter will be home to Latvia’s first KFC restaurant, which until now operated in Old Riga at 14 Audēju Street. Importantly, all KFC restaurants are currently implementing special COVID-19 safety measures to protect the safety of employees and visitors and ensure the highest hygiene standards, a contactless ordering and collection process, as well as compliance with the two-metre distancing requirement.
