Riga Festival

Riga Festival is a series of concerts featuring both Latvian and foreign compositions performed by various musicians. The festival had its beginnings in 2011 and each year attracts the brightest local and international musicians. This year, the first concert will take place on May 26, featuring the chamber orchestra 'Kremarata Baltica' and French pianist Lika Debargues.

A total of 8 concerts are planned in both Riga and Jurmala. The festival program will also include the chamber orchestra 'Simfonietta Riga', Normunds Šnē together with pianist Behzod Abduraimov; there will also be a concert program titled 'Astors Piazzolla and Rihards Zaļupe's New Work', as well as a joint concert by the Latvian Radio Big Band and American jazz music star Bba Mincer. We will also see pianist Reinis Zariņš and singer Jānis Šipkēvics Jr., as well as pianist Daumants Liepiņš.

The festival will take place until June 21, when Raimonds Pauls and Andris Keišs will take the stage.
