Seaside Open-Air Museum Season Opening

Visitors will be able to explore 19th-century farmsteads and fishermen’s homesteads on the Kurzeme coast. Each homestead will offer activities for visitors, providing an opportunity to learn more about traditional everyday practices and the rituals of life in Kurzeme’s fishing villages.
During each ride on the narrow-gauge train, visitors will have the opportunity to learn historical facts about how the narrow-gauge railway emerged and developed in Kurzeme, what social role the little train played in the development of coastal villages, and about the strength of the community, which remains relevant today—how the railway brought people together by providing a connection between home, work and celebrations.
The little train will resume service on 1 May,

Admission to the season opening event is covered by the museum entrance tickets: EUR 6 for adults, EUR 3 for schoolchildren, and EUR 12 for a family ticket.
