INTERNATIONAL TOURISM DAY IN PILSKALNE

For the sixth consecutive year, International Tourism Day was celebrated in Pilskalne on 27 September at the “Pilskalnes Siguldiņas” nature trail. The event brought together a large number of nature trail enthusiasts, inviting them to walk the trail at sunset, lighting their way with torches and candles.

The Forest Mother, Sprīdītis and the Princess invited the guests to join them on a magical walk along the illuminated trails of “Pilskalnes Siguldiņas”. In a forest glade, they encountered the Witch, the Sorceress, the Forest Man and the Devil, who invited the children to play and dance. After meeting the Witch, the Sorceress, the Forest Man and the Devil, the walk continued to the “Dubezers” recreation centre, where the guests enjoyed saxophone music and sang autumn songs. At the end of the evening, a raffle was held to mark the 40th anniversary of the “Dubezers” recreation centre. Three lucky winners received valuable prizes. To conclude Tourism Day, the guests enjoyed a Tourist’s Dinner and mint tea brewed over a fire.
