Glass Art Exhibition in Aizpute at the “Mētras Māja” Gallery

In 2015, as every year, a glass art exhibition is being held in Aizpute at the Mētras Māja Gallery.

This year, visitors will be able to view a group exhibition bringing together artists who share the experience of having studied together at the Art Academy of Latvia—Dainis Gudovskis, then as their instructor, and Iveta Brence, Solvita Bruže, Vika Šulca, Laura Rostoka, Marta Ģibiete and Bārbala Gulbe, then as students. Today, they are all colleagues who specialise in working in the same field of art—glass art.

The exhibition is conceived as a joyful reunion and a point of reference for what has been accomplished since graduating from the academy. The works will be highly diverse, each bearing its own distinctive style, but the main protagonist in this story is the material—glass.
